Tech Tips

Spare Shells Save Time & Improves Performance

Making sure shells get cleaned to put new liners into is a very important part of any dairy's maintenance program. Pulsators get dirty from two sources the fresh air coming in from the fresh air source or from the shell vacuum chamber following the short airs to the twin air and then to the pulsator. If you have a lot of build up inside the shell it can even effect the massage of your liner.

One great way to ensure you have clean shells is to have a complete second set of shells. It is a very small price to pay to ensure you have clean inspected shells to put your new liners into. If you don't want to do that then making sure shells get scrubbed between liner changes can be tricky as down times in most parlors is minimal and puts a lot of pressure on getting the new liners installed. This is just one more attention to detail that helps our high performance systems milking todays high performance cows.
